“I was happy to have a chance to draw a new poster for Phish's make-up New Years Eve show in April at Madison Square Garden. This piece is officially the most comprehensive, intensive and in depth image I've ever rendered for a poster. It took 6 weeks just to draw. The Half & Half in South Carolina did a particularly excellent job printing them. As a sister print I tried to imagine what it might feel like walking out of the Garden after Phish burns the place down, so to speak. The piece that emerged is titled "The City Was The Song" and reflects my admiration for this remarkable band and their profound relationship to this city and this venue, and in particular of their April 22nd show. ”- David Welker
